Who is Marco Fregoso?
Marco Fregoso was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, on September 23, 1978. After 3 years of age, his family moved to the wonderful southern mountainous town of Mazamitla, Jalisco where he studied primary and secondary school.
In the year 1993, he joined the local music band of Mazamitla, where he studied music and played trumpet until the year 1998.
In the year 1995, simultaneously with his musical activity, he entered the law school of the University of Guadalajara, where his studies culminated in the year 2001.
It was in 2005 when the idea of the recording project that now presents for consideration by all of those who love and appreciate the Mexican music became a reality. This dream was reached in September of 2006 with the magic and excellent accompaniment of the International Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán of Don Fernando Martinez.
In 1990, Professor Antonio Fregoso Quintero created a song that depicted realistically and magically the picturesque town of Mazamitla, Jalisco, Mexico and its people.
Professor Fregoso Quintero, a bohemian by conviction was born in Ameca, Jalisco, Mexico. He taught his family, brothers, wife and children, the love for Mexico and especially, the Mexican music. The oldest of their children, Marco Antonio, a native of Guadalajara, Jalisco, led the path of absolute respect for our country, through music and culture, together with his mother, Professor Maria Luisa Gonzalez.
As a result of this love and respect for music, especially Mariachi music, Marco and his father since the 90's planned the recording of a CD, which would honor Jalisco, Mazamitla and Mariachi music. This would be a reality, no matter what it would cost, but they would portray the emotions and feelings that each piece of music would convey the people.

Time passed, and unfortunately, Don Antonio Fregoso, at the age of 51, ceased to exist on December of 2005, due to his battle against cancer without seeing this dream become a reality.
In 2006, Marco now a lawyer gave continuity to this great dream! Thank God, the people and the accompaniment of the International Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán, of Don Fernando Martinez, that this CD became a reality of the now recognized professional singer, Marco Fregoso.
He honors his father with the introduction of this material to the general public that loves and appreciates Mariachi music. Marco's goal is to reach all and publicize his history, music and especially, the tribute to his Father and his people from Mazamitla.
There are no words that describe that sentimental side that the production "El Loco" represents for Marco Fregoso. He always wanted to see this dreamed in the company of his father Don Antonio.
At the present time, Marco Fregoso has been fortunate in his presentations conveying every emotion with all due respect, sobriety and magic of mariachi music, especially bolero ranchero.
As time goes by, Marco Fregoso's success is enhanced and this dream becomes a reality! This reality includes dozens of appearances in 2007 and 2008 at prestigious venues in the United States and Mexico, a musical video and the recording of his second album. With this and much more, is presented to you the new voice of the bolero ranchero in Jalisco and Mexico, the voice of Marco Fregoso...
